How does PlumBuddy work?

PlumBuddy uses a three-stage Detect / Notify / Protect approach. Ultrasonic flow sensors inside the Smart Valve and wireless PlumAssist pucks continuously monitor your plumbing for anomalies. When a leak or burst is detected, you receive an instant phone notification and the motorized valve automatically shuts off your water supply in seconds.

Does PlumBuddy require a plumber to install?

The PlumBuddy Smart Valve should be installed by a licensed plumber. Installation typically takes about 30 minutes including shutting off water, fitting the valve, and testing. The PlumAssist wireless leak-detection sensors and PlumSense water-sensing cables are completely DIY: just place them where you want protection and pair them through the app.

Does PlumBuddy work with my home insurance?
